"This true Stereo AM/FM radio brings the warmth of brushed aluminum and cherry wood finish to your home, with extremely big, satisfying, room-filling sound.

Unlike others that are more expensive and look similar, you will enjoy big, room-filling sound from its two heavy magnet 3" speakers, and rear bass port. I challenge you to find a radio of this quality for less than twice this price! I especially like that the transformer is built into the cabinet, so you have a small, normal wall plug, not the clunky transformer box that most radios have at the wall plug.

A 24" stereo cable is included, to connect your own MP3 or iPod player through the Aux-in port. It does not charge the iPod, but it does work with any device that has an earphone port. The lighted orange tuning dial is very attractive, and the slow ratio tuning is easy to use. The quartz clock uses its own battery, included, so it powers during a power outage. This is not a wake-up clock radio, nor an alarm, but it is a very satisfying and good looking radio. You will be pleased." — Richard

Nice Radio

I just received the radio and love the looks of it. Knobs and unit feel solid but while clock looks good in radio, it feels very cheap when removed for setting. The sound has very much a bass sound (which I like) but it sometimes overwhelms the highs. If you use this (as I planned to do) to listen to the ipod part from your iphone you will experience the interference every time your phone "pings" the tower (which is often). That MAY be solved by getting a longer aux cable (the one included is very short), but I have not tried that yet. The solution (although not one I want to use on an ongoing basis) is to put your phone in "AIRPLANE MODE". I bought this while at 1/2 price and am very satisfied with the product received. I may have returned if I had paid full price. Bottom line: Looks good and sounds good if you like bass!

Fine, Lovely Radio

Bought this radio when it was half price. (I see it went up $7 since I ordered; I will say initially I was charged the higher amount, but the Web site agreed to refund the difference because it was advertised at the lower price on at least one page.) I'm very pleased so far -- it's a solid, well-built, attractive stereo radio that sounds great and seems a little bigger than the dimensions listed. While the wood is stained lighter than in the photos (more of a light cherry than the warmer and better color here), it still looks rich, grain patterns and all, despite apparently being MDF. More importantly, the brushed metal faceplate and backlit dials give it a cool "guy" quality that makes it ideal for a man's den or desk. I haven't had it long enough to gauge how long it will last, but the switches and dials are all tight, and I would be surprised if there are any mechanical problems down the road. My only minor quibble is that the cord is a little short, but an extension will fix that.
